Solandris Technology Providers
1. Why do we use external providers?
Solandris uses external companies and organisations to operate the application, communicate with devices, deliver messages and retrieve information selected by users.
The information shared depends on each provider's role and is limited to what is needed for the relevant purpose.
2. Infrastructure and service providers
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft Azure | Application, API, database and infrastructure hosting | Account, device, configuration and technical data |
| Azure Communication Services | Emails relating to accounts and the service | Email address and message content |
| EMQX Cloud | MQTT communication with devices | Device identifiers, colours, commands and technical connection metadata |
| OVHcloud | Hosting the public Solandris website | Technical visit data, potentially including IP addresses |
Applications and APIs operate in Azure North Europe (Ireland), while databases operate in Poland Central (Poland). EMQX Cloud Serverless operates in a European AWS region. The location of the OVHcloud hosting server still requires confirmation.
3. Information providers
Solandris also uses external data sources.
WeatherAPI provides weather information. Our backend sends query parameters such as the selected city.
The Polish Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection (GIOŚ) provides air-quality information. Our backend requests data using the identifier of the selected monitoring station.
In both cases we do not send account information such as email addresses, nicknames or account identifiers.
If you configure your own calendar or JSON source, Solandris connects to the address you provide.
Information providers are not necessarily processors acting on behalf of Solandris. They may operate as independent data providers.
4. Data protection
Providers processing personal data on our behalf are subject to applicable data protection and security requirements.
Hosting infrastructure in the European Union does not always rule out access from other countries, for example by technical support staff.
Any transfers outside the European Economic Area require an appropriate legal mechanism and safeguards under the GDPR.
5. Provider changes
This list may change as Solandris develops. We will update it independently of the Terms and Privacy Policy when providers or processing arrangements change. Where changes require additional notice or amendments to other documents, we will comply with those obligations.
